New Delhi, June 9 (IANS). In today’s time, everyone wants clean and glowing skin, but due to dust, soil, sweat and increasing pollution, many types of problems start appearing on the face. Among these, blackheads and whiteheads are the most common problems.
These small pimples often appear around the nose, chin and forehead. Because of these, the face appears lifeless instead of appearing clear. Many people buy expensive beauty products to remove them, but some easy home methods can also help in cleaning the skin. One such method is a scrub prepared from rice, which is considered helpful in cleaning the dirt accumulated on the face.
The problem of blackheads and whiteheads arises when natural oil (sebum), dust and dead cells accumulate in the pores of the skin. When the pores are open and this accumulated dirt comes in contact with air, due to oxidation its upper part turns black, which is called ‘blackheads’. On the contrary, when this dirt remains trapped within the skin, it emerges in the form of white pimples, which are called ‘whiteheads’. Therefore, to avoid these, regular cleaning of the face is very important.
Rice is considered beneficial for the skin as its grains help in gently removing the dirt accumulated on the skin. When rice is ground slightly coarsely, its small particles work to clean the dead skin accumulated on the upper layer of the face. This makes the skin feel cleaner and fresher than before.
To make this scrub, first take some rice and grind it lightly in a mixer. Take care that the rice does not become completely powder. After this add some raw milk to it. Milk helps in keeping the skin soft and loosens the grip of dirt accumulated on the face. Then add some rose water to it. Rose water is known to give coolness and freshness to the skin. Prepare a thick paste by mixing these three things.
When this paste is ready, apply it on the face. After this, massage with light hands in circular motion for a few minutes. Pay a little more attention to the area around the nose, because blackheads are most visible there. The small particles of rice help in removing the dirt and excess oil accumulated on the top layer of the skin.
After massaging, wash the face with lukewarm water. After this don’t forget to apply moisturizer. After scrubbing, the skin needs moisture, so applying moisturizer keeps the skin soft.
