Lucknow, January 8 (IANS). Yogi government is continuously taking effective steps towards providing better, accessible and timely health facilities to the poor and needy. While cashless treatment has been ensured for the families undergoing treatment under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, the system is being further strengthened by ensuring timely payments to the hospitals associated with the scheme.

The result of this is that there has been a significant improvement in the claim settlement of Ayushman Yojana in the last one year.

Archana Verma, CEO of State Agency for Comprehensive Health and Integrated Services (Sachij), said that under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, continuous corrective steps are being taken for quick and transparent disposal of claims submitted by empaneled government and private hospitals of the state. While the pendency of claims had reached 10 lakh 75 thousand in January 2025, by December 2025 it has come down to only 3 lakh. This too will be disposed of soon.

He said that under the scheme in the state, on an average, more than 2 lakh claims are received from hospitals every month. Timely disposal of such a large number of claims is a big challenge. Despite this, it is being ensured that along with old pending cases, new claims are also disposed of in a regular and systematic manner. Its main objective is that the empaneled hospitals ensure treatment of Ayushman card holders without any hesitation.

Saachis ACEO Pooja Yadav said that the medical audit system has been strengthened to make the claim settlement process simple, transparent and fast. In this sequence, the number of medical auditors has been increased from 40 to 130. This has speeded up the claim investigation process. Along with this, the number of Claim Processing Desk (CPD) has also been increased from 100 to 125. Under the scheme, claims submitted by hospitals should be paid within the stipulated time limit of 30 days i.e. Turn Around Time (TAT). To achieve this goal, regular review meetings are being held at the agency level and the pending cases are continuously monitored.

CEO of Sachij said that during the period from January 25 to December 25, a total amount of Rs 4,649 crore has been paid to the empaneled hospitals of the state under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme against claims. This figure shows that the Yogi government is not only making arrangements for treatment, but is also completely protecting the economic interests of the hospitals, so that they can provide better health services to the poor patients.

Yogi government’s policies like reduction in claim pendency, timely payment and strong audit system have increased the confidence of hospitals. Poor and needy patients are directly benefiting from this, who are now completely freed from the compulsion of taking loans and selling property for treatment.
