The Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India has given detailed information about Utthita Padmasana. According to the Ministry, Yoga is a great path of discipline and physical-mental strength. Regular practice of Utthita Padmasana improves body balance, increases concentration and awakens internal energy.

This asana is a powerful yoga posture that lifts the entire body off the ground with the help of hands in the Padmasana position, which increases the strength of the arms, shoulders, core and the entire body. The method of doing this asana is easy.

According to experts, for this, first of all sit in Padmasana, in which one foot is placed on the second thigh and the other foot is placed on the first thigh. Then place both hands on the ground near the body, palms facing down. Taking a deep breath, put the entire weight of the body on the hands and slowly lift the entire body above the ground. During this, keep the neck and head straight, eyes should be in front or slightly downwards. Remain in this posture for as long as possible and keep breathing normal. Slowly come back to the posture.

According to the Ministry of AYUSH and yoga experts, Utthita Padmasana has many important benefits. It makes hands, wrists, shoulders and core muscles very strong. Stomach muscles are toned, which improves digestion and eliminates problems like constipation. This asana increases the ability to balance, brings concentration to the mind and helps in reducing stress.
