Vidyut Jammwal practices 'Sahaj' Yoga once a year, tells the benefits

Mumbai, January 10 (IANS). Actor and martial artist Vidyut Jamwal is very conscious about health and fitness. Vidyut Jamwal believes that spending time amidst nature improves health. For this reason he practices Sahaja Yoga once every year. This practice gives them physical balance, mental concentration and a deep connection with nature.

The actor posted a special video on his Instagram account, in which he was seen practicing Sahaja Yoga. “As a practitioner of Kalaripayattu, I practice Sahaja Yoga once a year. Sahaja means returning to a state of natural ease and instinct, which leads to a deeper connection with nature and inner awareness,” he said in the post.

Vidyut Jamwal, along with explaining the meaning of Sahaja Yoga, also enumerated the benefits of its practice. He told that this practice awakens the natural sensations of the body. This creates a better connection between the mind and body, and increases balance. “Scientifically, it activates multiple neuroreceptors and proprioceptors, which improves sensory feedback and improves balance and coordination. This leads to greater body awareness and mental focus, and a deeper feeling of connection to nature,” he said.

In the video, he was sometimes seen climbing trees and sometimes meditating inside the snow for hours on the mountains.

Vidyut Kalaripayattu also knows that this is the ancient martial art of Kerala, which is considered to be the oldest fighting art in the world. Its name is made up of ‘Kalari’ and ‘Payattu’. It dates back to the 3rd century BC. This includes punches, kicks, wrestling, use of weapons (such as sword, spear, urumi), and predetermined forms. It also has Ayurvedic massage. It is very effective for teaching warriors flexibility, strength and focus. Vidyut was also seen doing Kalaripayattu in many films.

Kalaripayattu combines elements of yoga, such as animal-inspired postures and breath control. Vidyut Jamwal is an expert in Kalaripayattu and does his own stunts in his films.
