New Delhi, June 6 (IANS). Nowadays obesity has become a serious health problem. Busy lifestyle, irregular eating habits and junk food habits have made people vulnerable to many diseases. The Health Ministry warned people that a healthy breakfast in the morning is very important to avoid obesity and stay healthy. A good breakfast not only gives energy for the whole day but also controls hunger and avoids eating unhealthy snacks.
According to health experts, skipping breakfast slows down the metabolism, which increases the chances of weight gain. Breakfast provides essential nutrition to the body and helps in staying active throughout the day. The ministry says that if you want to remain fit and energetic, then stay away from fried and sweet things.
Breakfast is important but it is not necessary to include anything in the plate. In such a situation, the Health Ministry of the Government of India tells what should be included in the breakfast plate in the morning?
The Ministry has appealed to start snacking wisely from today itself for a better tomorrow. Unhealthy snacking is a major cause of obesity. You can stay fit by snacking smartly. Start the day with a healthy breakfast, so that you have energy throughout the day and do not feel unnecessarily hungry.
Health experts say that changing small habits can make a big difference. Obesity can be easily controlled by having a balanced breakfast every morning, healthy snacks in between and regular exercise.
Include fiber, protein and good carbs in breakfast. Oats, curd, eggs, whole grain bread, paratha with vegetables, fruits, light khichdi of rice and lentils or upma are good options. Be sure to include fresh fruits like apple, banana, orange or papaya in your morning breakfast. These are rich in vitamins and fiber which keep the stomach full for a long time. If you feel hungry in the afternoon, choose smart options instead of unhealthy snacks. Eat roasted gram instead of chips and snacks. Instead of sweets and pastries, have a handful of dry fruits (almonds, walnuts, raisins). Instead of creamy and sweet snacks, eat fresh salads or fruits. These options are not only delicious but also help in controlling weight.
