The air quality index (AQI) in the national capital Delhi was recorded at 288 which falls in the ‘poor’ category. Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) gave this information.
According to the CPCB, AQI is classified between zero to 50 as ‘good’, 51 to 100 as ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 as ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 as ‘poor’, 301 to 400 as ‘very poor’ and 401 to 500 as ‘severe’.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted mainly clear sky on Thursday and light to moderate fog on Friday and Saturday.
The minimum temperature in Delhi today was 8.6 degrees Celsius, which is 1.0 degrees below this season’s average. The maximum temperature is likely to be around 24 degrees Celsius. According to the IMD, the relative humidity at 8:30 am was 91 percent.
