New Delhi. In an important political development in Gujarat today, the entire cabinet submitted its resignation to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. Although the ministers have not resigned due to any resentment or protest, rather it is believed that this is a part of the state cabinet expansion. Keeping in mind the state assembly elections to be held in 2027, the state government is now going to give place to new faces in the cabinet. A new cabinet will be formed tomorrow i.e. Friday under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. Governor Acharya Devvrat will administer the oath of office and secrecy to the new ministers.
Earlier there was a possibility that some ministers would resign and new ministers would be included in the cabinet in their place, but now after the resignation of all 16 ministers, it has been decided that the entire cabinet will include mostly new faces. Although it is not that none of the old ministers will be included in the new cabinet, but most of the ministers may be dropped. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will meet the Governor tonight and submit the resignations of ministers. Along with this, the CM will also give the list of the new cabinet to the Governor. According to media reports, the ministers have submitted their resignations on the instructions of the central leadership.
There is also discussion that by expanding the 16-member Council of Ministers, about 25 members will now be included in it. BJP will try to maintain balance in the cabinet by giving preference to youth along with experienced leaders. There is talk that Rivaba Jadeja, wife of cricketer Ravindra Jadeja, can also be made a minister in the Gujarat government. Along with this, Jitu Vaghani, Jayesh Radadia may also get a place in the cabinet. For the first time, the cabinet of Gujarat is being reshuffled after the 2022 assembly elections.
