Ayodhya. Preparations are being made for Deepotsav this year in Ayodhya, the city of Lord Rama. UP Tourism Department will conduct a grand festival on the banks of the holy Saryu River in Ayodhya and a grand festival on other ghats. Every time the number of lamps burnt in Deepotsav makes world records. This time too, preparations are being made to create a new world record of Deepotsav. This information was given by UP Tourism and Culture Minister Jayveer Singh to the media.
This year, more than 26 lakh diyas will be burnt in the Deepotsav of Ayodhya. This will create a new world record. Last year i.e. 2512585 diyas were lit at the Ayodhya Deepotsav in 2024. That year it was a world record in the case of lamps burning simultaneously. Ramnagari Ayodhya is recognized worldwide due to the new and grand temple of Lord Ramlala, all tourists from all over the country and abroad also come here in the Deepotsav to be organized by the Yogi Adityanath government every year. Deepotsav is celebrated in Ayodhya since 2017 after Yogi Adityanath seated on the post of CM in UP. Every year the number of lamps in this Deepotsav has increased.
According to media reports, on the occasion of Deepotsav, the biggest aarti will also be performed on the banks of the holy Saryu River in Ayodhya. The Aarti on the Saryu coast in Ayodhya will include more than 1100 saints, Dharmacharyas and common people. With the help of students and volunteers of Awadh University, the program of Deepotsav and Aarti of Saryu River in Ayodhya will be completed. Every year, students and volunteers of Awadh University have contributed to make the Deepotsav of Ayodhya grand. The rule of the Guinness Book of World Record is that the lamps should be burnt for at least 3 minutes. Students and volunteers play an important role in meeting this goal.
