Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan, who was recently released from Sitapur Jail, while addressing allegations of retaliation of vengeance said that he had never done wrong with anyone, including his opponents.
Khan told ANI, “Real applies only when I have harmed someone. I have treated well, even with my enemies. No one can claim that I have done injustice to anyone.”
Reacting to the promise of withdrawing the cases filed against him when SP chief Akhilesh Yadav’s formation of the government, Khan expressed ambiguity, saying, “What can I say? …” Azam Khan was imprisoned in a quality bar land encroachment case and was released after getting bail from the Allahabad High Court in May this year.
On the rumors of joining Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Khan said, “It can only tell those who are speculating … I did not meet anyone in jail. I was not allowed to call … Therefore, I have been out of full contact for 5 years.”
Earlier today, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav appreciated Khan’s release and promised that if SP returns to power in Uttar Pradesh, all “false” cases will be withdrawn against him. “SP leader Azam Khan has been released from jail. Addressing the journalists, Yadav welcomed the court’s decision to bail Azam Khan, who was lodged in Sitapur Jail, a six -time MLA from Jaswantnagar assembly constituency, Yadav said, “Azam Khan was implicated by the government in false cases. However, the court has given him bail and has given relief to the cases. I welcome this decision. I have welcomed the Supreme Court and High Court. Standing with them. “
Earlier, SP MLA Shivpal Singh Yadav, who came to receive Azam Khan, attacked the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh, alleging that his colleague and former Lok Sabha MP Azam Khan had been implicated in false cases.
