New Delhi. Azim Prem Ji, the founder of the country’s well -known IT company Wipro, has rejected the request of Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah. Siddaramaiah wrote a letter to Azim Prem Ji in view of the traffic problem of Bengaluru in which he demanded permission for the movement of common vehicles from Wipro Campus. In response to this letter from the Chief Minister, Azim Prem said that we appreciate your leadership for the initiative related to serious issues like traffic management in Bengaluru, but general movement from inside the campus is not possible, keeping in mind the company’s legal and contract related obstacles.
Azim Prem Ji said, Wipro’s Sarjapur Campus is a special Economic Zone, where strict security norms are applicable due to global service commitments. The movement of public vehicles from a private property will not be effective as a permanent, long -term solution to the traffic problem. “For a permanent solution to the traffic problem of Bengaluru, Wipro can help in creating a roadmap of effective solutions with the Government of Karnataka,” he said. Azim Prem Ji has also nominated the company’s senior representative Reshmi Shankar for further talks with the state officials.
He said that a long -term solution is required on the Outer Ring Road. Azim Prem Ji gave the opinion, saying, we believe that the most effective way to get rid of this complex problem of traffic is to conduct a comprehensive, database -based scientific study under the leadership of a world -class expertise in urban transport management and Wipro is committing to working closely with the Karnataka government. Let us tell you that traffic in Bengaluru is a big problem. Especially in the morning and evening, when people have time to come from office, there is a situation of terrible jam.
