Union Minister and BJP National President JP Nadda, while targeting the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) during a conference in Patna on Saturday, questioned whether the Leader of Opposition of Bihar Legislative Assembly Tejashwi Yadav has ever apologized for the remarks made by his father and RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav.

Addressing a gathering in Patna before the upcoming elections, Nadda recalled Lalu’s controversial statement in which he said that the construction of roads would lead to the reach of the police at a rapid pace. The Union Minister said, “In the name of development, Lalu Yadav had given a statement that if we build the road, the police will reach you early. The year has passed, and I want to ask whether Tejaswi Yadav has asked the people of Bihar?”

The BJP national president said that Bihar has suffered losses under the leadership of RJD and due to selfish politics, it has been “pushed into darkness”. He said, “Those who used to give direction to the country, who used to keep their point in politics, today some people are being pushed into darkness due to the selfish efforts and wrong leadership. Tributes and casteism have all affected Bihar. ”Nadda compared it to the progress made under the NDA.

Nadda said, “Due to the development in the last 20 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, we can see a changed Bihar.” He highlighted that people now aspire for development and stability. Criticizing the Congress, Nadda accused the opposition of reducing political discourse. She cited a video produced by al-Qaeda, allegedly shown to Prime Minister Narendra Modi having a dream about her late mother Hiraben Modi, who is attacking her for her politics.

He said, “If I talk about politics, then our opposition has brought politics to low levels. The way the Prime Minister’s mother was abused and no one has regretted it till date, it shows their character. The video released by the Congress tomorrow is proof that your thinking is the same.”

These reactions have come before the Bihar assembly elections, which is expected to be in October or November at the end of this year; However, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has not yet announced the official date, where the BJP, JD (U) and LJP want to continue their rule in Bihar, while RJD, Congress and leftist parties want to remove India block Nitish Kumar from power.

In the current Bihar Legislative Assembly with 243 members, there are 131 MLAs in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), including 80 BJP MLAs, JD (U) -45, HAM (S) -4, and 2 independent candidates support. The India block has 111 members in India block, including 77 MLAs of RJD, followed by 19, CPI (ML) of Congress.
