Bareilly. Bulldozer action started from Saturday on two illegal buildings of Mohammad Arif, close to Maulana Tauqeer Raza, accused of September 25 violence in Bareilly. At around 11 am in the morning, a large number of police and development authority officers arrived with bulldozers at Mohammad Arif’s building with more than two dozen shops and another building in Jagatpur, Bareilly, and started action. The owners of shops in the building of Arif, close to Tauqeer Raza, protested. On this he was given some time to take out the goods.

Bareilly Development Authority says that a close aide of Maulana Tauqeer Raza had built buildings against the standards. Due to which demolition work is being done with bulldozers. The administration has imposed Section 163 in the entire area to maintain law and order. Before the Bareilly Development Authority squad arrived, CO III Pankaj Srivastava reached the spot with the police of Baradari police station. He called police from many other police stations. Then people were asked to stay away from the spot. It is alleged that Mohammad Arif, close to Maulana Tauqeer Raza, built two illegal buildings in Jagatpur three years ago. Sold some of their shops for Rs 30 lakh each. Many shops were rented out for Rs 8-9000.
These buildings close to Tauqeer Raza were sealed by the Bareilly Development Authority on 11 October 2025. After investigation, the Development Authority found that Arif did not even give any map etc. for the construction of the building. After the violence in Bareilly, all these actions are being taken by the administration to tighten the noose on the accused. There are many accused in the FIR of Bareilly violence including Maulana Tauqeer Raza. Police sent many accused including Tauqeer Raza to jail. He has not got bail yet. Tauqeer Raza was in the headlines earlier also for making inflammatory statements by raising many issues. This time, despite making a promise to the administration, Tauqeer Raza and his close associates were accused of being involved in inciting violence.
