Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of spreading lies to defame the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of the state and said that since April 2022, the state has received only Rs 1,582 crore under the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) from the central government.
Cheema’s remarks came at a time on Thursday when the opposition parties, especially the BJP, are questioning the government about the disaster relief fund of Rs 12,000 crore.
