New Delhi. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has started taking action in the Indigo Airlines crisis case. Preliminary investigation has revealed negligence by four flight operation inspectors monitoring IndiGo, due to which all four have been suspended. These four flight operation inspectors were working on contract and were involved in checking the safety and operations of IndiGo flights. DGCA has taken action against them considering them responsible for ignoring safety and rules. DGCA has also summoned Indigo Airlines CEO Peter Elbers.

A four-member committee has been constituted by the Civil Aviation Ministry for a high-level investigation of this entire matter. This committee will submit its report to the government after complete investigation, after which action will be taken against those found responsible. Recently, IndiGo CEO Peter Elbers also appeared before the investigation committee. Let us tell you that a day before, Indigo has announced compensation for the problems faced by its passengers due to cancellation of flights. Indigo said that depending on the distance of the flight, ticket category and inconvenience caused to the passenger, compensation ranging from Rs 5 to 10 thousand will be given.

At the same time, the company has said that the company will give a travel voucher of Rs 10,000 to those passengers whose flights were canceled on 3, 4 and 5 December, who were stuck at the airport for hours and had to face a lot of problems. Earlier, while hearing the PIL related to this case, the Delhi High Court had expressed strong displeasure over the arbitrary increase in fares by other airlines during the IndiGo crisis. The court asked the Central Government that how did such a crisis situation arise and what did you do to resolve it?
