Earlier, Rahul Gandhi had alleged that the names of one lakh voters in Karnataka were removed from the voter list. On this allegation of the Congress leader, the Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer sent an affidavit to him. The Election Commission had told Rahul Gandhi that if your allegations are correct and you have evidence of vote theft, then present an affidavit under Rule 20 (3) (b) of the voter registration rule 1960. The Election Commission has clearly stated that show proofs to prove its allegations, otherwise do not try to mislead the public by making false allegations on the Commission. However, Rahul Gandhi did not give any affidavit.
