What happened and when?

This incident took place on 28 March 2026 in the vicinity of Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD) in Abu Dhabi. UAE’s air defense system had intercepted some ballistic missiles. Due to the debris of these missiles falling on the ground, fire broke out at three different places.

During this time, sounds of anti-missile action were also heard in many parts of the UAE, which was confirmed by the Defense Ministry.

Who were injured and how did the fire start?

A total of six people have been injured in this incident, whose injuries are of minor to moderate degree. The injured include five Indian citizens and one Pakistani citizen.

Officials said that the main cause of the fire was the debris of intercepted missiles that fell on the ground. All the fires were immediately brought under control and the affected areas are now being cooled.

What information did the officials give and what precautions should be taken?

Abu Dhabi Media Office has confirmed these incidents and said that the relevant authorities are looking into the matter. He appealed to the people to ignore rumors and trust only official sources.

UAE authorities had already issued a warning asking people to stay in safe places and avoid touching or going near fallen debris. If you see any such thing, it was advised to immediately inform the emergency services.
