To improve connectivity with Dwarka Expressway, the construction of 10 new link roads has been expedited. This is being considered a big step in the infrastructure development of Gurugram. The completion of this project will directly benefit thousands of families living in various sectors of the Millennium City. After the construction of new roads, not only will the traffic pressure be reduced, but the journey between Delhi and Gurugram will also become very easy and time saving.
Land acquisition process started from Sector-99 to 115, data collection work will be completed by January 31
Work has started rapidly towards ensuring availability of land for construction of roads. The process of land acquisition is being started to connect these proposed roads between Sector-99 to Sector-115 with Dwarka Expressway. According to the plan, all the necessary information and data related to the land to be acquired will be collected by January 31. As soon as the data collection work is completed, the process of distributing compensation to the affected land owners will be started, so that there is no hindrance in the construction work.
The long journey of residents of many societies including Sector 99, 102, 109 and 111 will end.
The construction of these 10 new roads will benefit the most those residential areas which were not yet directly connected to the main expressway. This includes Sector-99, 99A, 99B, 102, 102A, 103, 106, 109, 110 and 111. Residents of housing societies built in these areas currently have to take long trips to Delhi or to board the expressway, resulting in wastage of both time and fuel. After getting the new connectivity, these sectors will be directly connected to the expressway, which will ease the movement of residents.
Keeping in view the future needs, roads will be made 30 meters wide, will provide permanent relief from traffic jams.
Keeping in mind the increasing urbanization and traffic, special attention is being paid to the width of the roads. There is a plan to build 30 meter wide roads at many places so that even if the number of vehicles increases in future, there will be no jam situation. For this, about 150 meters of land will be acquired to ensure connectivity in some areas. This is extremely important to reduce the pressure of vehicles on the internal roads. At present, due to heavy traffic on the main roads, there is jam during peak hours, but after getting direct connection from Dwarka Expressway, the traffic will be divided into many alternative routes.
The journey of working people commuting to Delhi will be easy, the journey of hours will be reduced to minutes.
The construction of these 10 link roads will have the biggest impact on the travel between Delhi and Gurugram. After direct connection with Dwarka Expressway, the time taken to reach Delhi from these sectors will reduce to a great extent. This is a news of great relief for those who commute between Delhi and Gurugram daily for work. Better connectivity will not only save travel time but will also reduce pollution and fuel consumption, thereby improving the ‘liveability’ (quality of living) of these areas.
