Today the entire country is celebrating the festival of Diwali with great pomp. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended hearty greetings to the countrymen. In his message, he wrote that may this holy festival of lights bring happiness, prosperity and harmony in everyone’s life.

Prime Minister Modi tweeted, “Happy Diwali to all the countrymen. May this holy festival of lights illuminate every person’s life with happiness, prosperity and harmony – this is our heartfelt wish.”

Earlier, PM Modi appealed to the countrymen to adopt indigenous products on Diwali. While sharing an old picture on social media, he wrote that this festive season, let’s celebrate the hard work, creativity and innovation of 140 crore Indians.

Prime Minister Modi asked the countrymen to share their photos with pride on social media and adopt indigenous products. He wrote, “Come, buy Indian products and proudly say that it is Swadeshi. Also share what you have bought on social media. This will inspire others to do the same.” It is noteworthy that the Central Government led by Prime Minister Modi had announced the reduction in GST rates from September 22 last month. On the occasion of Navratri, the government named it GST Bachat Utsav. The government said that this step has been taken to provide relief from inflation as per the demand and needs of the people during the festive season.

Greetings on the occasion of Diwali. May this festival of lights illuminate our lives with harmony, happiness and prosperity. May the spirit of positivity prevail all around us.
