West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday paid tribute to freedom fighter Surya Sen on his death anniversary.Banerjee, in a post on ‘X’, remembered Sen as a “great hero” of Chittagong’s anti-British movement.
Banerjee, in a post on ‘X’, remembered Sen as a “great hero” of Chittagong’s anti-British movement. She said, “I pay tribute to the great hero of Chittagong’s anti-British freedom struggle, Martyr Master Da Surya Sen, on his death anniversary. Ideals never die and hence they remain immortal.”
Sen, popularly known as ‘Master Da’, is remembered for his leadership in the historic Chittagong armory loot.
