The Government of India has sent humanitarian aid to Afghanistan which is suffering from natural disasters. In view of the huge damage caused by floods and earthquakes, India has sent a new batch of relief material. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal confirmed this help on social media and said that India stands with the people of Afghanistan in this difficult time. In the last few days, due to torrential rains and earthquake, many people have lost their lives and huge losses have been caused.

What items are included in the relief material?
This humanitarian aid sent by India includes items related to everyday needs and security. The Ministry of External Affairs has made it clear that India is focusing on the welfare and capacity building of the people in Afghanistan. The following main items are sent in the support material:
Kitchen sets required for cooking Hygiene kits for cleaning Plastic sheets and tarpaulins for temporary accommodation Sleeping bags to protect from cold Medical visa and free treatment facility for Afghan patients
Description of the devastation caused by the disaster in Afghanistan
In the last few days, the havoc of nature has been witnessed in Afghanistan, due to which there has been huge loss of life and property. According to disaster management officials, dozens of people have died and many have been injured due to the heavy rains and earthquake. Some key figures of the disaster are as follows:
