India will always maintain freedom to choose its option: Sayashankar said in UNGA

India Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar said that India will always maintain freedom to choose its option and this three major principles in the contemporary world are moving forward on ‘self -reliance’, ‘self -defense’ and ‘confidence.

Addressing the 80th high -level session of the United Nations General Assembly, Jaishankar said, “Hello to the people of India.”Addressing global leaders, he said that India is moving forward on the principle of ‘self-reliance’, ‘self-defense’ and ‘confidence- in the contemporary world. The Foreign Minister said that ‘self -sufficiency’ means, ‘Increase your abilities, increase your strength and let your talent move forward.’ He said, ‘Whether in the manufacturing sector, in space programs, in the production of medicines or in digital applications, we are seeing its results. The world also benefits from construction and innovation in India.

Jayashankar, while talking in detail on ‘self -defense’, said that India is committed to protect its people and protect their interests in the country and abroad. He said, “This means not tolerating terrorism at all, strong security of our borders, forming partnership with various countries and assisting their community abroad.”

He said that ‘confidence’ means the most populous countries, and as the fastest growing major economy, ‘We know where we are at the moment and where we have to be in the future. India will always maintain freedom to choose its option and will always remain the voice of Global South.
