Indian Navy has once again shown its strength and safely taken out two big LPG tankers from the Strait of Hormuz. These ships are loaded with about 94,000 metric tons of gas, which is equal to India’s cooking gas requirement for one day. After reaching the safe area, the crew of the ship shouted slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai in joy. Naval warships escorted and guided these tankers safely to the Gulf of Oman.

The control room of the Directorate General of Shipping is currently working 24 hours. In the last 24 hours, officials have taken stock of the location and security of the ships through 92 calls and 120 emails so that there is no interruption in the supply.
Security provided under Operation Urja Suraksha
The Indian Navy has made special arrangements to ensure the safety of oil and gas tankers on sea routes. The main points about it are as follows:
The Indian Navy has deployed more than half a dozen warships in the area under Operation Urja Suraksha. These warships provide safe passage to oil, LPG and LNG tankers coming to India. Iran has allowed ships from friendly countries like India to pass through in coordination with its authorities. There are still 18 more Indian tankers in the Persian Gulf which will soon reach Indian shores. The Petroleum Ministry has assured the public that there is sufficient stock of LPG in the country and there is no need to panic.
Even before this, in the month of March, four tankers like Shivalik, Nanda Devi, Pine Gas and Jag Vasant were safely brought to India through this route. The government has appealed to the people not to pay attention to rumors and avoid panic booking as the supply is completely normal.
