Amidst the increasing tension and airspace restrictions in the Middle East, the Civil Aviation Ministry is keeping an eye on the entire situation. For the safety of Indian passengers and to bring them back, IndiGo has decided to run 10 special relief flights from Jeddah to India. This move is a big relief for thousands of Indians who are stranded there due to cancellation of flights.

These 10 relief flights operated by IndiGo will depart from Jeddah on 3 March 2026. The ministry has confirmed that these flights will directly connect major cities of India to Jeddah to evacuate the stranded citizens.
Flight date: 3 March 2026
Major Destinations: Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi and Ahmedabad
Help: Coordination is being done with the Consulate General of India in Jeddah for listing of passengers.
Ticket Refund: Free rescheduling or full refund facility is being provided on tickets booked till 28th February.
Updates on airspace conditions and other airlines
The airspace over Iran, Iraq and Israel is currently restricted due to which more than 1000 flights have been affected. Air India is diverting its long-haul flights through alternative routes like Rome. Meanwhile, Air India Express is resuming its services to Muscat from March 3.

The Civil Aviation Ministry has advised all passengers to check the status of their flights through the airline’s official channels before going to the airport. Fares for new bookings from Jeddah range from 643 riyals to 1,066 riyals but seat availability is very limited. The government is constantly reviewing the situation so that air traffic can be normalized.
