Iran’s Supreme Leader’s representative, Abdul Majeed Hakim Elahi, told ANI that his country is ready to negotiate with respect and end the war. He made it clear that Iran is protecting itself and wants peace, but will not bow to anyone’s pressure and compromise. However, US President Donald Trump has rejected this proposal, saying that it is too late now because Iran’s military power has been significantly damaged.

What are Iran’s conditions and what answer did Trump give?
According to the Iranian representative, Iran has some key conditions for the peace agreement. This includes complete removal of economic sanctions and a firm guarantee that attacks will not occur in the future. Iran claims they are only protecting their rights. On the other hand, President Trump said on social media that Iran’s air force, navy and leadership have suffered huge losses. America and Israel together have carried out major attacks on Iran’s missile bases and command centers under ‘Operation Epic Fury’.
How was the people going to Dubai and the maritime trade affected?
Due to this military tension, the problems of people living in Gulf countries and international travelers have increased. The biggest impact is being seen on air travel and sea routes.
Air flights cancelled: More than 12,000 flights have been canceled due to tension in the region, with passengers traveling to Dubai being most affected.
Sea route closed: There are reports of closure of the Strait of Hormuz, due to which the movement of merchant ships has stopped.
Impact on Indian ships: Dozens of Indian-flagged ships are currently stranded in this sea route, due to which there is a fear that the supply chain will be affected.
Economic pressure: Iran acknowledged that the sanctions have increased difficulties, but claimed to have the situation under control.
Will there be a solution through talks?
The Iranian representative revealed that they were in talks with the US through Oman just before the attacks began and both sides were about to issue a joint statement. He alleged that America is deliberately spreading unrest to stop emerging powers like India, China and Russia. At present, Iran has demanded immediate intervention of the United Nations Security Council in this matter so that the war can be stopped. Israel has also claimed that it has targeted a senior Iranian commander, although this is yet to be fully confirmed.
