New Delhi. The last date for nomination for the first phase of Bihar assembly elections has now passed, yet there is still a dilemma on many seats between the parties included in the grand alliance of the opposition. Meanwhile, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has given a big blow to the Grand Alliance. Soren’s party Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has announced to contest the elections alone on 6 seats apart from the Grand Alliance in Bihar. JMM will contest independently from Chakai, Dhamdaha, Katoria (ST), Manihari (ST), Jamui and Peerpainti seats in Bihar Assembly elections. Voting on all these seats is to be held in the second phase on November 11.

Giving information about the party’s decision, JMM leader Manoj Pandey said, there is limit to the wait. We showed complete patience, our people went to Patna to talk, talks also took place, we were assured that we would be given seats as per our support base but ultimately we were cheated. There was no announcement on seat sharing and no offer was given to us as per our capacity. It is too late now, we cannot compromise on our self-respect. We are people of Shibu Soren’s party, today the identity of Hemant Soren is not hidden from anyone. Somewhere this (India) alliance is beginning to unravel. If this kind of behavior is done to us, it is sad and unfortunate and we will contest Bihar elections with full capacity and strength. Decision has been taken on 6 seats, the number of seats may increase further. The alliance can also be reviewed after the elections in the coming days.
