Gulbarga. With the latest order of Justice MGS Kamal of Karnataka High Court, there is hope that Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will get approval for the route march in Chittapur, Karnataka on 2 November 2025. The Congress government of Karnataka has been shocked by this decision as it had refused to approve the RSS route march citing law and order. The Karnataka High Court has asked the Siddaramaiah government to consider the new petition of RSS regarding the route march and ensure respect of the sentiments of all parties. Karnataka High Court has imposed conditions for the RSS march. So that excitement does not spread in any way. RSS is celebrating centenary this year. On Vijayadashami of 1925, RSS was founded by KB Hedgewar along with his four colleagues in Nagpur.

During the hearing in the Karnataka High Court, RSS convenor in Kalaburagi Ashok Patil said that an application for permission for the route march in Chittapur was given on October 13, but the administrative officers raised objections till the last moment. Karnataka High Court observed that 259 route marches of RSS in the state were conducted peacefully. The court asked the question that if there was no problem elsewhere, then why there was no RSS route march in Chittapur? The court also said that 12 such programs of RSS have taken place in Chittapur. Apart from this, route marches have been conducted successfully in 154 mandals. Justice Kamal questioned the Karnataka government as to how it would accommodate and manage such programmes? According to News18 channel, after the order of Karnataka High Court, Ashok Patil expressed hope that now RSS will get approval for the route march on November 2. Now the hearing in this case will be held on October 24.

The politics of the state also heated up due to the Karnataka government not giving approval to the RSS march in Chittapur. BJP state president BY Vijayendra gave a statement that those exploiting the Constitution in Chittapur are violating the rights. BJP state president had called it Kim Jong Un style governance. At the same time, former CM and senior BJP leader Basavaraj Bommai had termed the RSS route march as emergency rule due to not getting approval from the Congress government of Karnataka. Whereas, the representative of Priyank Kharge, elected from Chittapur and minister in the Siddaramaiah government, had said that the administration’s decision was in view of law and order. He hit back and alleged that BJP was trying to create communal polarisation.
