The mortal remains of 20 Indian citizens who lost their lives in separate incidents in Kuwait reached Kochi on Tuesday night. These bodies have been brought to India through a special flight of Kuwait Airways. The Indian Embassy and the Ministry of External Affairs coordinated with the Kuwaiti authorities to complete the entire process so that the mortal remains could be returned to their families at the earliest.

🗞️: Iran clearly refuses to talk with America, said- now the level of trust between us is zero.

Complete details of special flight and return

Kuwait Airways special flight KU5632 was operated to bring the mortal remains. This plane was sent to Kochi only to bring the dead bodies and there were no other passengers on board. After reaching Kochi Airport (CIAL), all the necessary paperwork was completed and the bodies were sent to their homes via ambulance.

According to officials, this process was stalled for a long time due to some problems in operating flights from Kuwait. Now after partial resumption of services, it has been completed on priority basis. From the airport, these bodies have been sent to Kozhikode, Alappuzha, Kottayam in Kerala and various parts of Tamil Nadu.

Indian Embassy action and latest updates

The Indian Embassy has expressed condolences on this tragic incident and has assured all possible help to the families. The embassy said that an Indian employee was also killed in the attack on an electricity and water desalination plant in Kuwait on March 30. In this case too, the Embassy is trying to complete the legal process with the Kuwaiti administration and send the body to India soon.

Details Information Flight Number KU5632 Number of Bodies 20 Indian Nationals Main Destination Kerala and Tamil Nadu areas Return flight on April 1 at 10:55 am (no passengers)

What is the official position regarding the process?

Officials have confirmed that all necessary documentation and coordination with the local administration has been simplified so that such situations do not cause delays in the future. The Ministry of External Affairs is in constant touch with the Embassy for the safety of Indians living in Kuwait and to assist them in case of any untoward incident. The administration at Kochi airport had made special arrangements to receive the bodies and send them to their native places.
