With the beginning of the new year, Chhattisgarh is once again ready to be drenched with literary energy. Next month, Raipur Literature Festival will be organized in Nava Raipur from 23rd to 25th January, in which more than 100 eminent litterateurs from across the country will participate. This event was conceived by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai on the silver year of the establishment of the state. This vision of his is now going to take shape.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai unveiled the logo of Raipur Sahitya Utsav at his residence office. On this occasion, Chief Minister’s Media Advisor Mr. Pankaj Jha, Chhattisgarh Sahitya Academy President Mr. Shanshak Sharma, Public Relations Department Secretary Dr. Rohit Yadav, senior litterateurs Mr. Sushil Trivedi, Dr. Chittaranjan Kar, Mr. Girish Pankaj, Dr. Sanjeev Bakshi, Mr. Pradeep Srivastava and Mrs. Shakuntala Tarar were present.

On the occasion of unveiling the logo, the Chief Minister said that the entire state is celebrating Rajat Mahotsav on the completion of 25 years of the establishment of Chhattisgarh state, and Raipur Literature Festival is an important chapter of the same series. He said that this festival will provide a common platform not only to Chhattisgarh but also to the eminent litterateurs of the entire country, where they will get an opportunity to be aware of their experiences, thoughts and creative flow. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that this event will provide a new identity to Chhattisgarh in the literary world and will inspire the public towards literature, writing and reading. Besides, this festival will also become a platform for positive social consciousness and discussion about the development plans of the state.
It is noteworthy that based on the concept of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, a comprehensive action plan for this event has been prepared in just two months. This three-day festival will be organized near the Tribal Museum on 23, 24 and 25 January 2026.

The festival will include a total of 11 sessions. In these, 5 parallel sessions, 4 group sessions, and 3 dialogue sessions will be organized, in which there will be direct communication and discussion between the litterateurs and the participants.

Logo of the festival symbolizing the cultural-literary heritage of Chhattisgarh

The rich cultural and literary heritage of Chhattisgarh has been presented as an impressive symbol in the logo of Raipur Literature Festival, to be organized next month. This logo not only reflects the identity of the state, but also strongly highlights the biodiversity of Bastar, tribal traditions, and the cultural significance of the Salfi tree, which is considered the soul of Chhattisgarh.

By giving the Salfi tree in the logo as a map of the state of Chhattisgarh, the message has been given that the civilization, culture and literature of the state have been nourished by the roots of this land for centuries. This Salafi tree is considered a symbol of mythological traditions, brotherhood and unity that have been going on since ancient times. Inclusion of this tree, which is deeply embedded in the life of the tribal society, in the logo of the literary festival also gives the message that the tribal literature, folk beliefs and traditional knowledge stream of Chhattisgarh is still at the center of the contemporary literary flow.

The sentence ‘Adi Se Aadi Tak’ inscribed in the logo reflects the unbroken journey of literature, which includes all forms from ancient creations to the continuously developing modern literature. This message clearly appears that literature is timeless, it is a continuous stream connecting time, society, language and generations. Similarly, the sentence ‘Surasari sam sabke hit hoi’ included in the logo establishes literature as a free, inclusive and all-beneficial force like the Ganga. Literature, by encompassing all castes, classes, traditions and ways of life, gives direction to the society and paves the way for everyone’s welfare.

This logo of Raipur Literature Festival is a matter of cultural pride for the entire Chhattisgarh, because it shows a beautiful, meaningful and artistic confluence of the state’s thousands of years old literary roots, tribal traditions, social harmony and modern creative vision. This logo conveys a strong message to the public that the literary journey of Chhattisgarh has been constant, vibrant and prosperous from ‘Adi to Anadi’ and will continue to write new stories of development in the same stream in the future. Through the logo of Raipur Literature Festival, a strong message of the strong roots of literature in Chhattisgarh and its connection with it since time immemorial will reach the public.
