New Delhi. Maulana Sajid Rashidi, President of All India Imam Association, is once again in the news for his controversial statement. This time he has given a very provocative statement targeting Hindu religious gurus. Maulana Rashidi, while referring to a statement of Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir, linked Hindu religious gurus to him. He said that before the Pahalgam attack, General Asim Munir had said that Hindus and Muslims cannot live together, Hindu religious gurus are taking the same point forward. Not only this, he also said that this is the reason why 90 percent of the people associated with ISI who are caught are Hindus.

Maulana Sajid Rashidi said that these people are taking lessons from there and are furthering the hatred between Hindus and Muslims. He called upon the Muslims not to participate in Hindu festivals like Garba, Ram Navami and said that those who, being Muslims, take pride in celebrating Diwali and playing Holi, should take stock of their faith. Lighting lamps, bursting firecrackers, playing with colors, all this is against Islam. He said that it is okay to congratulate and give sweets on the festival but one should not physically participate in Hindu festivals. Participating in a Hindu festival is illegitimate and haram as per Islam.
Let us tell you that Maulana Sajid Rashidi is the same person who recently made very lewd remarks about SP chief Akhilesh Yadav’s MP wife Dimple Yadav during a TV debate show. Maulana Rashidi faced a lot of opposition regarding that statement. NDA MPs along with BJP had lodged a protest against Maulana Rashidi in the Parliament premises. BJP had said that this is an insult to a woman MP which will not be tolerated.
