New Delhi. Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal has strongly retaliated on the statement of Pak Defense Minister Khawaja Asif on the tension between Pakistan and Afghanistan and blaming India for it. He said three things are clear, first that Pakistan gives shelter to terrorist organizations and sponsors terrorist activities. Second, Pakistan has a longstanding habit of blaming its neighbors for its internal failures. Third, Pakistan is angry that Afghanistan is exercising sovereignty over its territories. India is fully committed to the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Afghanistan.

Pakistan’s Defense Minister Asif Khawaja had said that Taliban is working at the behest of India and it is waging a proxy war against Pakistan on behalf of India. Let us tell you that currently there is a 48-hour ceasefire going on between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Recently, Aamir Khan Muttaki, the Foreign Minister of the Taliban government of Afghanistan, had come to India. Pakistan is also irritated about his visit to India.
During bilateral talks with Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar, the Foreign Minister of Afghanistan had assured that Afghanistan will not allow its soil to be used against India in any way. At the same time, Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar had announced the re-opening of the Indian Embassy in Kabul, expressing India’s commitment to the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Afghanistan. Since then, Pakistan is in dire straits and is spewing venom against India.

Denied Donald Trump’s claim
External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal refuted US President Donald Trump’s claim that PM Narendra Modi had assured him that India will not buy crude oil from Russia. Jaiswal said that there was no telephonic conversation between Modi and Trump on any issue yesterday.
