Famous fighter aircraft Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21, who has been the strength of the Indian Air Force fleet for more than six decades, flew into the Indian sky for the last time on Friday and its farewell was recorded in history and many memories.

Let us know that this prestigious aircraft was included in the Air Force 60 years ago on Chandigarh Airbase.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that who can forget the 1971 war. During the war with Pakistan, under adverse circumstances, MiG-21 attacked the Governor House in Dhaka and on the same day, the outline of that war was prepared. He said that in addition, in its long history, there have been many occasions when MiG-21 has proved its decisive ability. Whenever there are historical missions, every time MiG-21 has increased the honor of the tricolor. He said that this farewell is also of our collective memories, our national pride, and is also of the journey in which the story of courage, sacrifice and excellence has been written.

Rajnath Singh said that MiG-21 has been known by the forms of Vikram, Trishul and Badal. Rajnath Singh praised Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, which maintained it. Describing the ability of MiG-21, the Defense Minister said that it has been getting the trust and respect of the Indian Army. Its legacy has been built for decades.

Many people would not have been born when MiG-21 is first blown into the Indian sky. This is our family member, which strengthened the country and established us on a global stage. This fighter jet included his ability. When it comes to MiG, people say that the Indian Army is flying a 60 -year -old fighter. The 70s Mig have already retired. The fighter jet mig now is 40 years old. It has always been updated by the Air Force.

MiG is a 21st national pride, a symbol of our power. God has been seen in everything here. We consider the land to be our mother and ourselves as its children. We worship it before entering a new house. It is not faith or belief, there is a sense of gratitude to every system. Honor should be given to everything that has been helped in life. The honor of MiG 21 is a cultural tradition.
