Patna. BJP MLA from Alinagar assembly seat of Darbhanga district in Bihar, Mishri Lal Yadav has announced his resignation from the party. Mishri Lal Yadav had joined BJP after winning the last election from VIP Party. He had won the elections from the same Alinagar seat, from where there is speculation that Bihar’s famous folk singer Maithili Thakur will be made the BJP candidate.
Outgoing MLA from Alinagar Mishri Lal Yadav held a press conference and alleged that along with the Dalits, he too was being insulted. He said that his self-respect as an MLA is also being hurt. Mishri Lal Yadav, who left BJP, said that it is difficult for him to save self-respect in the party. He said that he will meet Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal and hand over his resignation letter to him. Accusing BJP of being anti-backward, Mishri Lal Yadav said that it was because of me that NDA had won two assembly seats.

It is being discussed that Mishri Lal Yadav was angry with BJP for a long time. After speculations that Maithili Thakur would be given ticket from Alinagar seat, she had earlier maintained silence, but now she has expressed her displeasure. It is being said that Mishri Lal Yadav can now join RJD. However, he did not give any indication about this in the press conference.
