New Delhi. The Election Commission has taken strict action in the murder of Jan Suraj Party supporter Dularchand Yadav on October 30 during the election campaign in Mokama, Bihar. The Election Commission has removed 4 officers including Patna SP Rural Vikram Sihag and issued an order to suspend Barh’s SDPO-2. The Commission has sought an action report in this regard from Bihar DGP Vinay Kumar by 12 noon tomorrow. Police have registered three separate FIRs in this murder case and have so far arrested two accused.
According to the Election Commission, Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of Barh and Returning Officer of Mokama Assembly Constituency Chandan Kumar have been removed. Additional Municipal Commissioner of Patna Municipal Corporation, IAS Ashish Kumar has been brought in his place. Similarly, Barh’s SDPO-1 Rakesh Kumar and SDPO-2 Abhishek Singh have also been transferred. Anand Kumar Singh has been posted in place of Rakesh Kumar and Ayush Srivastava has been posted in place of Abhishek Singh. Order to suspend Abhishek Singh has also been issued. An FIR has been registered against five people including JDU candidate Anant Singh in this murder case.
On the complaint of Anant Singh’s supporter Jitendra Kumar, a case has also been registered against Jan Suraj candidate Priyadarshi Piyush and his supporters. The third FIR has been lodged by supporters of RJD candidate Veena Devi. It is alleged that during the uproar during the funeral procession of Dularchand Yadav, Veena Devi’s convoy was attacked and her vehicles were vandalized. On the other hand, according to the post mortem report of Dularchand Yadav, he did not die due to bullet but due to burst lung and several broken ribs.
