New Delhi. His Excellency Ukhnagin Khurelsukh, President of Mongolia, visited BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple in New Delhi on 15 October during his official visit to India. He was also accompanied by Foreign Minister Battsitseg Batmunkh, Ambassador Gunbold Dambajav and senior members of the Mongolian delegation. Dharmavatsaldas Swami, representative of His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, the spiritual leader of Bochasanvasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS), gave the traditional welcome to the Mongolian President and his delegation. President Khurelsukh performed the sacred consecration of Shri Neelkanth Varni at BAPS Akshardham Temple. He prayed for peace, harmony and welfare of the people of both India and Mongolia.
During this, a letter from His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj of BAPS was handed over to the Mongolian President as a blessing and goodwill. In this letter, Mahant Swami Maharaj appreciated the President’s leadership in promoting peace, compassion and unity among the people of Mongolia. Along with this, Mahant Swami Maharaj wished the health, wisdom and success of His Excellency the President and also prayed for the ever-strengthening friendship between India and Mongolia based on shared spiritual and cultural values.
After reaching BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham, the President was extremely impressed by the grandeur of the Khuralsukh temple. He said, the bond between the people of India, as serene as the flow of the river Ganga, and the people of Mongolia, as big-hearted as the Mongolian plains, has existed since ancient times. He said, Akshardham Temple which is a symbol of spirituality, culture and eternal traditions of Indians, today, I am extremely happy to visit this grand temple. BAPS Akshardham truly reflects the profound spiritual heritage of India. Expressing gratitude for the excellent hospitality, His Majesty said that His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj’s blessings and prayers will continue to further strengthen the mutual goodwill and understanding between the two countries.
