PM Narendra Modi today inaugurated the first phase of Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA). The special thing is that this is India’s first fully digital airport, which has been designed with modern technology and traditional Indian design. Made at a cost of Rs 19,509 crore, this state -of -the -art Navi Mumbai International Airport will start flight operations in December this year. Ticket booking is likely to start by the end of October, in which IndiGo, Akasa Air and Air India Express will first start flights. With this, Mumbai has now joined selected global cities where there are more than one international airports such as London, New York and Tokyo.

Adani Group and City Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) together developed
The Navi Mumbai Airport is being developed in five stages of Adani Group and City Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO). Arun Bansal, CEO of Adani Airports Holdings Limited (AAHL), said that this airport will provide a “anxiety-free airport” experience for passengers. Passengers will be able to get information through their phones in which order their goods are coming on the baggage carzal.
Passengers will be able to take advantage of online parking pre-booking, digital baggage drop, and e-immigration services due to complete digital systems. This airport is going to be a symbol of new technology and smart travel experience in India’s aviation sector.
