New Delhi. Before the voting for assembly elections in Bihar, a bad news has come for the NDA camp. Actually, the nomination of NDA constituent Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) candidate Seema Singh has been cancelled. Chirag Paswan had declared Seema Singh as the candidate from Marhaura assembly constituency under Saran district. During the scrutiny of Seema Singh’s nomination papers, the Election Commission found some technical flaws due to which her nomination has been cancelled. Voting is to be held in the first phase in Marhaura and the last date for nomination for the first phase of voting has passed, hence now no NDA candidate will be able to contest elections on this seat.
Seema Singh is a well-known face of Bhojpuri film industry and she started her political career by joining Chirag Paswan’s party, but she got such a shock in her first election that she was thrown out of the election process. NDA supporters of Marhaura Assembly are also very disappointed with the rejection of NDA candidate’s nomination. However, Seema Singh is not the only candidate from Madhaura whose nomination has been cancelled. Apart from her, nomination of three other candidates Aditya Kumar of BSP, Independent Altaf Alam Raju and Independent Vishal Kumar have also been cancelled.
Although a direct contest was expected between the candidates of NDA and the Grand Alliance on the Marhaura Assembly seat, now the equations have changed after the nomination of NDA candidate Seema Singh was rejected. Now there is a contest on this seat between RJD and Jan Suraj Party. RJD has again fielded its outgoing MLA Jitendra Kumar Rai while Prashant Kishore has given ticket to Naveen Kumar Singh alias Abhay Singh, who comes from Bhumihar community, from Jan Suraj Party.
