There is always a demand for affordable 7-seater cars in the Indian automobile market. Keeping this in view, Nissan has prepared to launch its new MPV ‘Gravite’. This car will directly compete with Renault Triber. According to reports, this car will not only be economical but it will also be provided with many excellent features as per the needs of the family. The company is planning to launch it in showrooms by March 2026.
When will it be launched and how is the design?
The global unveiling of Nissan Gravite will be done on January 21, 2026, while its sales are expected to start from March 2026. In terms of design, it is based on Renault Triber, but Nissan has added its own identity to it. The car will see a larger grille, new LED headlights, C-shaped bumper trim and new taillights. It is a car smaller than 4 meters, which will make it easy to drive in the city.
Engine and performance information
If we talk about the engine, then the Gravity is likely to get the same engine as the Renault Triber. It will be provided with a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine generates power of approximately 71-72 bhp and torque of 96 Nm. Customers will get the option of both 5-speed manual and AMT (automatic) transmission. This engine is considered quite good for mileage and city driving.
Interior and special features
Nissan has tried to make the interior of this car premium. It will have an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system which will support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Apart from this, features like 7-inch TFT cluster, wireless charging and cooled storage can also be provided. The seats of the second row of the car will be able to slide and recline, due to which comfort will remain even when 7 people are seated.

How much will it cost?
In terms of pricing, Nissan Gravit will be kept quite aggressive. Its estimated price can start from Rs 6 lakh and go up to Rs 9.50 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top model. Although it may be a little higher than the starting price of Triber, but Nissan will try to woo customers by giving it better looks and features. This car can prove to be a great option for those middle class families who want to buy a big family car in a low budget.
