Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday greeted people on the occasion of Mahalaya and wished that as the holy day of Durga Puja is coming closer, everyone’s life should be filled with light and purpose.
Devotees believe that Goddess Durga arrives on Earth on this day from her residence in Mount Kailash.
Modi said on ‘X’, “Happy Mahalaya to all of you! As the holy days of Durga Puja are approaching, our life gets filled with light and purpose. ”
The Prime Minister said, “The divine blessings of Maa Durga should provide unwavering power, permanent bliss and good health.”
