New Delhi. Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has expressed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the blast near the Red Fort in Delhi. He has also said in clear words that whoever is responsible for this blast will not be spared under any circumstances. Rajnath Singh said, I pray to God to give strength to the families of those who lost their lives in the Delhi blast. From this platform, I would like to assure our citizens that the major investigating agencies of the country are conducting a prompt and thorough investigation into this incident. The findings will be made public soon.

Rajnath said, I want to assure the country that those responsible for this tragedy will not be spared. The death toll in the blast has increased to 12. While 28 people are injured. All the injured are undergoing treatment at LNJP Hospital in Delhi. After the blast that took place last evening, Union Home Minister Amit Shah went to LNJP Hospital and met the injured and instructed the doctors to provide them proper treatment. After the blast, security has been tightened at all the historical places, markets, railway stations and bus stands of Delhi.

Additional security forces have been deployed in crowded areas. The search operation is also being conducted by the team of Dog Quad. Looking at the CCTV footage of the blasted i20 car, the police believe that the blast was a suicide attack. On the other hand, the families of those killed in the blast are in bad condition, crying. Some bodies are in several pieces and efforts are being made to identify them. The grieving family members are consoling each other.
