Why the ban on making relies
The Delhi Metro has prohibited the creation of videos and relax in metro coaches to maintain passengers’ convenience and discipline. DMRC’s Principal Executive Director, Corporate Communications, Anuj Dayal said that this decision was taken so that other passengers do not face inconvenience. Many videos are going viral on social media, in which people are seen performing dance, lip-link or stunts in the metro coach. According to DMRC’s statement, “Rills making, dance video or any such activity is strictly restricted.” According to DMRC officials, shooting in the metro can be fined on the Metro Railways Act, 2002 based on “creating troubles for other passengers”.
Inappropriate behavior in metro
Many videos have been seen on social media in which inappropriate behavior of passengers was seen such as drinking alcohol in the metro, eating boiled eggs, or fighting without shirt. All these activities are against the etiquette of the metro and the discipline of the public place.
DMRC has clarified that the metro coaches are only for passenger travel, not entertainment or social media materials. These activities not only inconvenience other passengers, but also tarnish the image of Delhi Metro.
