Patna. RJD leader and former Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav has given ticket to Anita Kumari, wife of muscleman Ashok Mahato, for Warisaliganj seat of Bihar Assembly. Congress has already nominated Satish Kumar alias Mantan Singh as its candidate from Warisaliganj seat. Now the conflict between Satish and Ashok Mahato’s wife Anita has come to light. Why did Tejashwi suddenly give ticket to Ashok Mahato’s wife from Warisaliganj? Is Tejashwi Yadav kind to Ashok Mahato who has given statements against Brahmins, Thakurs, Bhumihars and Kayasthas? Because recently the news was in discussion that Tejashwi had returned Ashok Mahato empty handed from the door of his house.
Anita Devi, wife of Bahubali leader Ashok Mahato, has once again entered the electoral fray. Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav has made Anita Devi the candidate from Warisaliganj seat of Nawada.#BiharElections2025 #RJD #TejashwiYadav #AnitaDevi pic.twitter.com/WmD5tJDHEE

Apart from being a Baahubali, Ashok Mahato is also infamous for saying ‘clean your gray hair’. Clean your gray hair i.e. this was a threatening statement for Bhumihar, Rajput, Brahmin and Kayastha communities. Obviously, this threat given by Ashok Mahato can become a big issue against his wife in Warisaliganj. Warisaliganj is an assembly seat of Nawada district of Bihar. Warisaliganj seat was won by BJP in 2015 and 2020. In 2020, BJP’s Aruna Devi defeated Congress’s Satish Kumar here. BJP’s Aruna got 62451 votes. Whereas, Satish Kumar could collect only 53421 votes for Congress. Listen what statement Ashok Mahato had given.
“Remembering the 90s, 10% has to be taken out and thrown away!
Gotta clean out the gray hair!”

When a leader is openly giving hate statements against Brahmin/Rajput/Bhumihar/Kayastha, then who is the exploited and who is the exploiter in this country? pic.twitter.com/nxuMC0hKM4—Dr. Neha Das (@neha_laldas) September 18, 2025
Warisaliganj was once considered a stronghold of Congress. Congress won 7 out of 17 elections in Warisaliganj assembly seat. CPI won Warisaliganj seat 3 times. Whereas, Independents won the elections twice, JDU once and Janata Party won once in Warisaliganj. BJP has won the assembly elections here twice in a row. In Warisaliganj, the number of voters from SC community is highest at 22.23 percent. Muslim voters in Warisaliganj are more than 9 percent. 92.31 percent of the population of Warisaliganj lives in villages. Whereas, only 7.7 percent people live in urban areas. Last time i.e. in 2020, only 48.76 percent votes were cast here.
