New Delhi. The rift between CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar in the Congress government of Karnataka is not stopping. While on one hand the supporters of DK Shivakumar are raising the demand for change of leadership, on the other hand Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has clearly said that he will complete his tenure. Meanwhile, 10 supporting MLAs of DK Shivakumar have reached Delhi to meet Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge. Whereas DK Shivakumar posted on social media X, where there is effort, there is fruit, where there is devotion, there is God. This tweet by the Deputy CM has increased the stir further.
Karnataka government minister Cheluvarayaswami, MLA Iqbal Hussain, HC Balakrishna, MLA TD Rajegowda and about 10 MLAs including Srinivas, who belong to the DK Shivakumar faction, have reached Delhi. However, DK Shivkumar has denied the knowledge of these MLAs being in Delhi. On the other hand, according to media reports, this MLA is planning to meet Congress high command Sonia and Rahul Gandhi. On the other hand, MLA TD Rajegowda, who reached Delhi, has openly said that I should get a chance in the cabinet reshuffle, however he also said that whether to change the Chief Minister or not depends on the decision of the high command and I am with the top leadership.
Let us tell you that Siddaramaiah said in the Golden Jubilee program of LG Havanur on Wednesday that he has so far presented 16 budgets of Karnataka and will also present a record 17th budget next year. In fact, two and a half years of the government have been completed in Karnataka, hence the supporters of DK Shivakumar are demanding to make Shivakumar the Chief Minister in place of Siddaramaiah. For the past several months, there has been an internal dispute regarding change of leadership in the government, which gains momentum from time to time.
