Latest rates of iron bars in major cities (10 February 2026)
According to the data received in the market till February 10, the prices of rebar have changed significantly in big cities of the country. Prices have increased the most in cities like Goa and Mumbai. You can see the current rates of different cities in the list given below. Keep in mind that 18% GST is added separately to these prices.

Main reasons for increasing prices
Many major reasons have emerged behind the increase in the prices of rebar. Government company NMDC has announced an increase in the prices of iron ore by Rs 100 per tonne on February 10 itself, which impacts the production cost. Apart from this, the stock in mills has reduced by 40 percent as compared to last month, due to which supply has become less and demand has become more.
The prices of coking coal have increased by 9%. Importing raw materials has become expensive as the rupee reached 90.44 against the dollar. The primary steel rate of big brands like TATA, JSW and SAIL is running around ₹ 57,000 to ₹ 58,000 per tonne.
