The air quality of the capital Delhi improved slightly on Wednesday morning but the air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 273 i.e. in the ‘poor’ category. Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) gave this information.
The city recorded an AQI of 294 at 4 pm on Tuesday. This is slightly lower than the 301 AQI recorded on Monday, which falls in the ‘very poor’ category.
Data from CPCB’s ‘Sameer’ app showed that despite overall improvement, 11 out of 38 monitoring stations in Delhi recorded AQI above 300, which is in the ‘very poor’ category.
According to the CPCB, an AQI between zero and 50 is considered “good”, 51 and 100 “satisfactory”, 101 and 200 “moderate”, 201 and 300 “poor”, 301 and 400 “very poor” and 401 and 500 “severe”. Is.
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the minimum temperature in the national capital was recorded at 18.2 degrees Celsius, which is 2.1 degrees above normal.
