To commemorate the completion of 150 years of India’s national song Vande Mataram, the Central Government will organize a special discussion on it in the House. 10 hours have been allotted for discussion on Vande Mataram in the Lok Sabha. The discussion on Vande Mataram may take place later this week on Thursday or Friday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also participate in the discussion on Vande Mataram. During the discussion in the House, the Central Government will highlight the historical and cultural importance of Vande Mataram in the country’s freedom struggle.
In the all-party meeting chaired by Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, a proposal was brought to discuss Vande Mataram, which was accepted by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. However, the opposition has no special interest in this.
