New Delhi. After arresting Kashmir resident Dr. Adil from Saharanpur, Jammu and Kashmir Police has busted a big terrorist network on his trail. In this case, the police has also arrested a lady doctor, Shaheen Shahid, resident of Lal Bagh, Lucknow, the capital of UP. A total of 8 people have been arrested so far through raids in different parts of Haryana and UP including Jammu and Kashmir. Dr. Muzammil, from whose house Jammu and Kashmir Police along with Haryana Police today seized 350 kg of explosives, assault rifles, pistols and cartridges from Faridabad, was using Dr. Shaheen’s car.

Jammu and Kashmir Police, in a joint operation with Haryana Police, has so far seized a total of 2,900 kg of IED making material including explosives, chemical substances, electronic circuits, timers etc. Police had raided a house in Fatehpur Taga village of Faridabad since morning and seized 2563 kg of suspected explosives from there. So far, in this case, apart from Dr. Shaheen Shahid, resident of Lucknow, Dr. Adil Ahmed Rather, resident of Kulgam, Dr. Muzammil Ahmed Ganai (Musaib), resident of Pulwama, Arif Nisar Dar (Sahil), resident of Srinagar, Maqsood Ahmed Dar (Shahid), resident of Srinagar, Yasir-ul-Ashraf, resident of Srinagar, Maulvi Irfan Ahmed resident of Shopian, Zameer Ahmed Ahangar. (Mutalasha), resident of Ganderbal has been arrested.

Police are conducting raids in search of other people associated with this terror gang. Dr. Adil Ahmed Rather has been a resident doctor in the Government Medical College, Anantnag. At present he was working in a private medical college in Saharanpur. Police had seized an AK47 rifle from the locker issued to Dr. Adil at Anantnag Medical College. Since then this matter is in the headlines.
