New Delhi. There has been a collision between a goods train and a passenger train in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. Six people are reported to have died in this accident while many others are said to be injured. Railway and rescue teams have reached the spot and started relief and rescue work. The injured are being taken to the hospital for treatment. According to the information, passenger train number 68733 Gevra-Bilaspur MEMU train was going towards Bilaspur, while the goods train was coming from Bilaspur. Near Lal Khana, both the trains came on the same track and there was a head-on collision. After the accident, train operations on that entire route have come to a standstill.

At present, it is being investigated as to what caused this accident. As soon as the trains collided, there was a scream, hearing which people nearby rushed towards the spot. The local people were the first to arrive and start the work of rescuing the people trapped in the train. After this, the senior officer and the rescue team also reached there.
