UAE Ambassador to India Abdulnaser Jamal Alshali has given a big statement. He said that the recent success in stopping missile and drone attacks on UAE is not just luck. This is the result of a very thoughtfully designed and strong defense system. According to official figures, UAE’s air defense system has foiled more than 90 percent of the attacks in the air.

What do attack and defense statistics say?

UAE has multi-layer air defense systems like Patriot, THAAD and Barak-8. From 28 February 2026 till now, more than 1400 ballistic missiles and drones have been fired towards UAE.

Ballistic Missile: A total of 253 missiles were detected, of which 233 were destroyed in the air.
Drone: 1440 drones were detected, out of which 1359 were foiled.
Cruise Missile: 8 missiles were detected and all 8 were destroyed.

Also between 9 and 10 March, 15 ballistic missiles were fired, of which 12 were intercepted and 3 fell into the sea. Similarly, 17 out of 18 drones were shot down. The UAE Consulate in Erbil, Iraq was also attacked by drones, where 3 drones were dropped and there was no damage.

What is the update on flights and CBSE exams?

This situation has affected the common life and also the Indians living in the Gulf. The biggest updates are related to education and travel.

CBSE Exam: India’s CBSE board has canceled the Class 10 examinations scheduled to be held in UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia from 7 to 11 March 2026. Class 12 exam scheduled for March 7 has been postponed.
Flights: flydubai has reduced its flight schedule. Meanwhile, Cathay Pacific has canceled all its passenger and cargo flights to Dubai till March 31, 2026.
safety instruction: The UAE Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA) has asked all people to remain in safe places during the alert and to rely only on official information. Apart from this, the Indian Embassy in Kuwait has said that during Ramadan, consular services will remain operational from 9 am to 3 pm.

Economy and food situation

Common people also have questions regarding ration and economy. The government has made it clear that the stock of essential food items in the country is completely safe for the next four to six months.

Along with this, the Central Bank of UAE has informed that the financial system of the country is completely strong. The total assets of banks exceed AED 5.42 trillion. UAE Ambassador to the UN Jamal Al Musharakh has also clarified that the UAE will not take part in any attack against Iran and the path to peace and diplomacy will always remain open.
