Uttar Pradesh government has shared the latest video of Noida International Airport (Jewar) in which the terminal and runway are seen completely ready. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, officials have informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi can inaugurate it by February 2026. After this, flights for general passengers will start from March or April.
When will flights start and which airlines are ready?
According to officials, the airport is expected to be inaugurated in the last week of February 2026. After the inauguration, it will take about 45 days for commercial flights to start, that is, passengers will be able to travel from the end of March or April 2026.
Initially IndiGo, Air India Express and Akasa Air have signed agreements to fly from here. In the first phase, there will be direct connectivity to 10 big cities of the country including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata.
How much will passengers have to pay?
The Airport Regulatory Authority has fixed the rates of User Development Fee (UDF) to be charged from passengers. This fee will be collected along with the ticket and will be applicable till March 31, 2026. You can see the different charges in the table below.

Facilities and Safety Rules
Recently shared videos show the terminal building, ATC tower and runway completely ready. DigiYatra facility will be available for passengers for biometric and contactless entry.
At present, the process of getting the aerodrome license from DGCA for the airport is in the final stage. For security reasons, a strict ban has been imposed on construction without permission and planting of trees within a radius of 20 kilometers of the airport. In the first phase, this airport has the capacity to handle 1.2 crore passengers annually.
