The Congress Working Committee will meet in Patna on 24 September, where the top leadership of the party will churn on the upcoming Bihar assembly elections and will intensify its attack against the BJP on the “vote theft” issue. Sources gave this information on Wednesday (September 17, 2025).
This will be an extended CWC meeting, in which permanent and special invited members, the Chief Minister of the party, the chairman of the state Congress committee and the leaders of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) will participate.
Sources said that the meeting is likely to focus on Bihar, party’s promotional strategy, future elections and alleged “vote theft”. He informed that the CWC meeting will be held on September 24 at 10 am. All the top leaders of the party including party president Mallikarjun Kharge and former party president Rahul Gandhi will be present in this meeting.
The meeting took place amidst talks on seat sharing between the allies of the Grand Alliance and it took place only a few days after Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Voter Rights Yatra’ and special intensive revision of the voter list against the alleged “vote theft”, which filled up enthusiasm and energy among party workers in the state.
Prior to the Bihar assembly elections, the Congress formed its state election committee on Tuesday (September 16, 2025), which includes people like Rajesh Ram, Shakeel Ahmed Khan and Madan Mohan Jha, the heads of the Bihar unit, to prepare for the election.
The committee has 39 members and in addition to this, all MPs, MLAs, Legislative Councilors, Secretary of the All India Congress Committee, Member of Congress Working Committee and head of leading organizations will be permanent invited members in this committee. Elections in Bihar are expected to be held around November this year.
